How to Use Listeningtree...

Listeningtree is a subscription that allows access to hundreds of printable listening and language activities. Each account allows access to both preschool and schoolage activities. There are 208 activities in total. Bronze and Silver subscribers can order their subscription in English or Spanish. Gold subscribers can access all activities in both languages. Subscribers at the Silver and Gold level can assign "mini" accounts to parents. The parents receive a login automatically by email and can then access a different listening and language activity each week. Bonus games are also added to the accounts each month. About Listeningtree

Listeningtree was designed by Speech-Language Pathologists Dave Sindrey and Sandra Medina as a way to help both English and Spanish speaking parents help their children with listening and language. The site allows access to hundreds of simple printable activities. A parent or professional can follow the pdf instructions or watch a 2 to 4 minute video explaining each game's setup, purpose, and rules of play.

Our curriculum is formed by 208 activities organized as preschool or schoolage. Each month we also add a preschool and a schoolage bonus game to a subscriber's archive. There are three levels of accounts. Bronze is for parents and professionals who are looking for hundreds of listening and language activities in either English or Spanish. Silver and Gold accounts are for professionals who also wish to assign parents of the children on their caseload, "mini" accounts where each parent can login and access the current game of the week and the current bonus games of the month. Silver is available in English OR Spanish. Gold allows access to BOTH English and Spanish.

We hope to add a French curriculum in 2010 and a curriculum with video and handouts will be available for working with infants in both English and Spanish in 2011.

Dave Sindrey, M.Cl.Sc. LSLS Cert. AVT

Dave Sindrey is the creator of many beloved materials for children with hearing loss, including Listening Games for Littles and the Cochlear Implant Auditory Training Guide. Dave is known for inventive and effective games that work on speech, listening and language, and his lighthearted illustrations are loved by both parents and children around the world. Mr. Sindrey developed The Listening Room (www.bionicear.com), which is a free website resource for children with hearing loss, based upon the ideas presented in the nine programs he has developed to date.

Mtra. Sandra Medina Martinez

Sandra Medina is our resident consultant and has helped adapt and create our Spanish curriculum. Sandra was trained as a Speech and Language Pathologist and Clinical Psychologist at Universidad de las Americas A. C. in Mexico City. She also has specialized training in Logogenia, which was developed by Dr. Bruna Radelli has a way to develop language skills in children who are deaf through reading and writing. Sandra runs her own private practice, Oigo, in Queretaro Mexico, where she works with children and adults who have hearing impairment and/or language delay.
